Since founding STEM For Kids in 2011, we have touched thousands of children in and outside of schools. We take pride in our engineering and computer sciences curricula that we have specifically designed with industry and academia to energize and excite young minds.

An international brand ‘STEM for kids’ is winning accolades in education and entrepreneurial circle.

Our story started in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2011. I was determined to change my busy life, so as to focus on my children. The day we were using a piece of paper to make bridge across two paper cups, the 1st couldn’t even hold 1 pencil, so we kept working until it could hold 20. Being inspired we stayed very creative at the time.

We were engineering fun with math and science being our first civil engineering program, Along with the name and integrated stem with real life skills. This exploration generated new idea to work jointly with best stem coaches and our robotics curriculum took shape. The work started getting noticed, we began serving schools and other parts of North Carolina. The feedback from parents, children and schools was positive.

Being the only one who provide educational enrichment methodology for elementary children that brought soft skills like communication and collaboration along with hard skills of engineering and computer science. We began receiving interest from all around the world, which enables business aspirant and entrepreneurs to take STEM for kids to their market.

With over 7 years of journey, STEM for kids is in 12 states in the US & in 4 countries. Continuous improvement and curriculum innovation are at the heart of how we operate. Fresh kids friendly content is regularly added to keep our franchisees’ businesses relevant in this fast changing world of science, technology, engineering and business. It never gets boring here!

Ermias M.Hailemariam

Ermias M. Hailemariam, a dedicated father and US Army veteran, owns the STEM For Kids® franchise in Ethiopia. His journey from Ethiopia to the United States and back reflects his passion for quality education. Through summer camps and local school partnerships, he introduces children to advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and cloud services.

Hailemariam aims to impact 10,000 youth in the next few years, fostering a new generation of innovators. By employing skilled coaches and leveraging STEM for Kids® resources, he makes STEM education accessible across Ethiopia. Hailemariam invites schools and communities to collaborate, inspiring creativity and preparing youth for the 21st-century workforce.
